Imagine this: As people were driving up in the driveway, a parking attendant showed them where to park. The weather was perfect and everyone walked down the meandering walkway to the front door. Passing the coy pond with the beautiful sounds of the water in the waterfall, they walked through the lighted tiki torches with red roses perfected placed on them. Finally, they arrive at the front door and open it. There stood a beautiful woman with a smile handing each person a welcome drink.
They took a few steps more and the male was given a red rose to hand to his valentine. Then finally they were given their table number so they knew where to sit. Beautiful love songs played by a violin were heard while pass-around appetizers were being served. Finally, the time had come to get the event started. The owner, Sandra Booher introduced Chef Sean and Sommelier Glenn LeBlanc. Each course came out perfectly timed and the perfect wine.
We had a sold-out event with 76 attendees. Everyone was excited and dressed in cocktail attire. A third of the crowd attended last year’s function and the general consensus is that several of these people will be purchasing tables next year. That means they are bringing friends to join in on our romantic evening!
DINNER
Chef Sean with Bon Temp Grill came out and spoke to everyone about his menu and his love for French food. His menu was totally based on French dishes. The presentation of each course was beautiful and equally matched with the perfect wine. Chef Sean completed Culinary School working under French Chef Philip Barolo. He continued his education at the CIA (Culinary Institute of America) in Napa Valley. He moved to Colorado for 15 years and expanded his career in Mexican, Italian, Greek/Lebanese, Cajun, and Breakfast concept restaurants. Sean has now found his home as Catering Executive Chef of Bon Temps Grill. Most weekends he is preparing thousands of items going off to several locations which still excites him.
WINES
Our Sommelier, Glenn LeBlanc, spoke about each wine for every course and let everyone know why he specifically paired the wine with each course. Glenn is educated in Horticulture, Viticulture, and Enology. He has worked in the wine business since 1979 as a wholesale distributor. He has also worked as a consultant for the French Wine Consulate evaluating wineries and vineyards for over ten years. We are happy to have him here tonight to share his vast knowledge of wines from all over the world. Each course has a corresponding wine perfectly paired with it.
ENTERTAINMENT
Again this year… Joel Martinez with Vermillion Strings provided us with a Violin player and he played the night with beautiful love songs.
PHOTOS
The photographer Yan D. Jorghi captured every aspect of the evening! He even had a beautiful backdrop so everyone could bring home a professional picture of themselves to capture the moment.
Paula Earle with Posies By Paulie provided beautiful fresh floral centerpieces. Her Flowers made an emotional impact on the event and without a doubt, you knew you were at an upscale event.
Next year’s Valentine’s Day Event will have more grandeur than this year. We plan to have everyone walk up a red carpet and begin the social event in the courtyard, weather permitting. We are expecting to have an oyster station and hoping to host other food stations as well. An opera singer will be added to the entertainment. We will include VIP tickets for two and also sell private tables in your own private dining room. To all of our attendees, thank you for making our Valentine’s Day Event a success, we hope to see you next year. We plan on making 2021 our best Valentine’s Day Dinner Event yet!
